Counterfeit Kit Challenge
Scrapbooking. I haven't completed a page in a while. Since I got into card making, actual scrapbooking has kind of taken a back seat. I wish it wasn't so; I really love scrapbooking. I think scrapbooking is one of the best thing I can do for my kids and future generations. When I was a teenager, my mom's family had a family reunion. We put together a picture board including a picture of my great grandmother. My grandmother left Ireland when she was about 13 and never returned. This breaks my heart but that is a story for another time. My mother had never met her own grandparents. At the time it struck me as a shame that we knew absolutely nothing, except her name, about my great grandmother. Without this woman I wouldn't exist and I wished I knew more about her. Years later, when I discovered scrapbooking, I realized that I could change things. I could make sure that my great grandkids and their grandkids knew about me and my family.
OK, back from my tangent. The Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog that I discovered just weeks ago, has inspired me like I have never been inspired before. I highly recommend checking it out.
So, here is my layout of my son and his friends at Homecoming dance last year.
Except for the little gold envelope on the lower left, everything is from my kit. The letter stickers are so old I could barely get them of off their page.
Thanks for visiting.
See you soon,
Ang
