WMS Challenge #2

Image
Hi again, I am playing along with the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge again.   This time it is a color challenge: I chose to use craft, green and the reds.  Here is my card: I am going to have to get more Waltzingmouse stamps if I plan on continuing with these challenges.  I only have the two sets but I love them.  Adding more to my collection will not be a problem. I recently purchased a small pad of the Tim Holtz craft core Coordinations paper.  That is what I used for the chevron embossing.  Love this stuff, comes in a ton of great colors. Thanks for visiting. See you soon, Ang

I love this card!

Very few times in my paper crafting experience has a project come out even better than I had envisioned. My latest card is one of those few times. I came across this photo at the Papercraft Star blog for their latest challenge: I fell in love with the photo, so I wanted to participate.  I almost forgot about it, the deadline is tonight at midnight. My card actually came together pretty quickly.  The first thing I thought of when seeing the photo was the window frame die I have.  Knew I wanted to use it and the ladies in the window, which are PTI dies (Simply Jane).  The glow of light in the upper right hand corner of the window also caught my eye, it added such warmth to the photo. So, this is my card:  and a little detail I sponged the panel behind the vellum to get the light effect.  A little lace for the curtains and other dies. The background paper is from PTI also. Thanks for visiting. See you soon, Ang

Wow, I am honored...

Waltzing Mouse

I recently received my first Waltzing Mouse stamps.  They are based out of Ireland.  I actually have been a follower of Claire's blog for a while, even before she started her stamp company.  A couple of years ago she started shipping out of the US for us American shoppers.   She has such a wide variety of stamps, there really is something for everyone.  When I saw the leaves on Funky Flowers and Simple Sprigs I fell in love with them.  I had to order both sets.  The stamps are fabulous (no affiliation, just an admirer).  Well, two of Claire's biggest fans recently started up a challenge blog, Waltzing Mouse Fanatics and they are having their first challenge.   Here is the sketch:  Since I had just received my stamps, I decided to play along:  All but the sentiment is Waltzing Mouse (all funky flowers).  The sentiment is Hero Arts. Here is a little close up of one of the leaves. love!  Thanks for visiting. See you soon, Ang
