Happy Weekend!

It may be a long weekend for some of you.
My kids are off school tomorrow, but I have to go to work.
Work that is going very nicely, I might add.
My quilt is at a standstill.  I need a darning foot to do the freehand quilting and my local quilt shop has to order it.  I have a Bernina that is about 20 years old and the feet for the newer machines are a little different.

Since I couldn't work on my quilt today I got to do a little paper crafting.  I made this card:

I have loved this Hero Arts coffee cup stamp for a long time.  I was perusing Joann's the other day, with a 50% coupon burning a hole in my pocket, and it caught my eye.
Took it home with me.

I was checking out some of my favorite Challenge blogs and came across this one from

Card Positioning Systems. I thought that if I turned it on its side I could use my new coffee cup image on it.  Then I saw the color challenge over at CR84FN and I couldn't resist combining the two.

Red, Brown and kraft is one of my favorite color combinations.  And, of course, it is a perfect combo for anything having to do with coffee.

Here is a close up:

Used Tine Tags from both PTI and SU.  I love combining little tags like this.

Thanks for visiting.
See you soon,
Ang

Oh my gosh Ang! This is totally cool! I love what you did with the sketch. So innovative. I have that delicious woodblock stamp from HA and had forgotten how fond I was of it until now. I am so going to dig it out and show it some inky love. Have you lined the inside of the card too? This is seriously one fab card! Sorry your sewing machine needs a new foot, but so glad you had to stop and create this fun number. I feel a CASE coming on.

Just too cute! Love the coffee cup and the band around it. It almost looks real! The doily die cut behind it is beautiful, and the scalloped edge compliments the doily cut beautifully. Wonderful card. Thanks for joining us at CR84FN! ~Hugs, Cheryl
The color combination you used adds to the warmth of the card in addition to the coffee mug. Love the scalloped edge & the PP.
