PTI's Make it Monday #5

This weeks challenge is to distress your project.  I was trying to think of something other than paper that I could try distressing, and I came up with cork.  The cork sheets are so thin  that I always adhere them to cardstock prior to die cutting so I thought maybe it would work.

I do like all the layering on the card. I especially like the mid size heart die over the house. This was the first time I used the Autumn Abundance paper and I never realized it had two different scales of each of the patterns, love that.  After I die cut the little house from the Love Lives Here (LLH) set I happened to lay it down on a scrap strip of the kraft paper.  It looked like a little chimney, so I added that to my house.  I also discovered that the scalloped circle stamp from LLH fits perfectly inside the jar label die cut.

Thanks for visiting.
See you soon,
Ang

Ang, I very much like how you thought of distressing something different with the cork! It looks great! Also kudos for using the house die with warm colors instead of the light pink we always see it in. I love pink, but it's nice to see something more unexpected. :-)
