Mad for Paper

and a flower too.  This is to go along with the cards & notepad in my previous post.  I made the flower into a pin and made this little tag to attach it to.  Whenever Joann's has buttons half off I always buy extra, pretty ones to use in crafting..  I used one of those as the flower center for this flower.  It's a little sparkly and really pretty in real life.  So here is the tag and gift all put together.  I just love it (toot, again). Hi there, Today I am participating in the PTI Make it Monday (MIM) Challenge.  This week Dawn McVey did a video on creating pockets using edger dies.  I don't have the PTI edger dies, I used a Tim Holtz die I have. Yesterday, I treated myself to this gorgeous new Authentique paper by Marjie Romney-Aslett.  I got the 6X6 "uncommon" bundle. This stuff is just beautiful. Once again, I was having visions, of the pocket made using vellum.  I am pretty happy with the way the card tuned out.  I dug out some old SU Rose Red paper and ink and it matched perfectly.  I had forgotten how much I liked this SU color. The tag and floral strip are from the Authentique paper.  I designed it so that the Heart Prints would show thru the heart that I die cut on the pocket.   Here is the tag: Iused lots of PTI goodies on this card. made from my Counterfeit kit.  Whenever I start a new project I always have an idea in my mind of how it will look when I am completed.  Sometimes projects don't quite match up to what I saw in my mind and sometimes they exceed what I was thinking.  Well this tag exceeds everything I had pictured in my mind.  I am in love with it!  Which is pretty much how I always feel when something turns out better than imagined.   I added some PTI ribbon and a Spellbinders tag stamped with a sentiment from PTI's Love Lives Here stamp set.    Some bling and PTI die cuts were also added. I love Valentine's day.  I love giving a little token of love to my husband and sons.  And,  I am almost guaranteed to get a hug or maybe even a kiss from my boys today. Today I have a tag to share.  I made this using my  Counterfeit Kit. I am really enjoying participating in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. I am finding it to be very inspiring. I dug out an old tag and added some PTI felt, but otherwise everything is from my kit.
