Mad for Paper

I am so enjoying making this quilt.  I have most of my  pieces ironed on the the quilt,  just a few more things and then I need to start sewing.    Her face, hands and shoes are silk screened.   Isn't she a beauty?  I just love her.   I will have to come up with a fun name for her.     Since this is going to be a wall hanging I am adding some fun embellishments.   Thanks for visiting. Long time no see.  I g0t to play a little this week.   I used some of my new PTI goodies to make a card: Lots of stickles on  those sunflowers.   Here is a close up of the fence: I used my woodgrain IP on the fence.  Love the way it came out.   I spent several hours yesterday working on my quilt.  I am loving how it is turning out.  I forgot to take a picture, will try to post it ASAP. I got to visit my favorite LSS, Scrapbook Territory, in Berkely today.   I couldn't resist these little beauties.   They are Prima cameo stick pins.   I have always loved cameos.  Not sure why, just love the beauty of them.  Not sure what I will do with them.  I may just leave them sitting on my desk so I can enjoy them everyday.   Thanks for visiting. Can you guess what it is?   More on that in a moment. My new job is going so incredibly well that I am working non stop.  It is a super busy time for them and I have been working 9 and 10 hour days.  Believe me, I am not complaining.  I love it and the people I work with are fantastic.  The only down side is that I am so busy and exhausted that I have hardly any time to do any browsing on the computer.  I miss it and I miss seeing everyone's blogs and creations. Now on to my title.  On top of everything, I am taking a quilting class.  I have been sewing all my life but never made a quilt before.  My girlfriend asked me to take this quilting class with her.  When I saw the quilt, there was no way I could pass it up.  It is actually a Halloween wall hanging.  I have always been partial to Halloween.  Maybe the fact that my birthday is the next day has something to do with that.   Anyway, the quil...

  (sewing pattern giveaway below)  Now you don't...  I worked on a little sewing project today.  I have had this cute little mini Janome machine for a while.  I use it solely for paper crafting.  It is the perfect machine for this in my opinion.  The only thing it is lacking is a sewing light.  For the price I am not surprised it doesn't have a light. I bought it because I was nervous about using my Bernina with paper.  It wasn't cheap and I just didn't want to take any chances with it.  Anyway, looking at my machine every day I realized it needed a little cover to keep the dust out. As you may know, I love color, especially bright color.  Green is my favorite but I really like them all.  I also love paisley.  The paisley fabric was my first purchase, then yesterday I found this beautiful fabric. I fell in love and realized it would be perfect for the lining.  So now I have this beautiful, reversible, ...
