Mad for Paper

I almost forgot I need to make a masculine thank you card for a friend of mine. While on vacation last week I was backing up and backed over a little rock wall.  Well, when I put the car in drive to get off the wall it pulled my fender off (just a little).  The fender was sticking out and down about 8 inches.   My friend Dave to the rescue.  He was camping but luckily had all the necessary tools to fix the car.  He had the entire fender off in a matter of minutes, cut the crease that was causing it to stick out and put it back on.  Total time, about 15 mins.  Good as new.  I should mention that he is the Service Manager at a Honda dealer.   I think he saved me big $$ and I think I owe him big time.   So I made this card and am sending it along with a gift card to him.   I used my new SU set The Open Sea.   I don't own a lot of masculine sets but something about this one really appealed to me.   Th...

my first born came into the world.  Today is my oldest son's 17th birthday.  I made this book for him as a gift.  It covers all of his experiences in driving; the lessons, tests etc.  It's a small book about 3X8. These charms are hanging from one of the binder rings.  The fake key came in the mail as part of a contest and I thought it was perfect.  permit test  driving lessons actual driving test  pocket for temporary license   I ran out of photos and still had a couple of pages left. so I added the "First Car" vellum page and left space to add those pictures when he buys his first car.  This weeks challenge at PTI was to use Scor-tape to make a glitter strip. I wanted to do a masculine card so my strip is not really glittery, I used micro beads.  I used the Graphic 45 Proper Gentlemen again.  This patterned paper is so fun to work with, there is so much detail.   The Cardstock and stamps are PTI, the newspaper advertising is a scrap of SU Newsprint paper I found. When I flipped it over and saw the City of Paris advertisement for men's suits I couldn't beleive it.  Meant to be, or what? I used the new PTI coasters (love) and PTI buttons and the new PTI button card die.  The sentiment stamp is an old CHF set I have. This came together so easily and I love it.
